Learn more about Turkmenistan..

Turkmenistan

(This was Turkmenistan's official flag of Russian Empire country)

(Turkmen SSR flag that used in independence day in 1991 until the new
one was adopted in 1992.)

( Flag that used from 1992-2001)

As you can see, there are 3 different versions of Turkmenistan’s flag. But, the one that they use is the green one. They put green and red color on this flag because the Turkmen have been respected historically by the Turkmen.

The moon symbolized the hope of the country that will be as a brighter country in the future.

The five stars represent five provinces which are; Ahal, Balkan, Dashhowuz, Lebap and Mary.

The shape that looks like a traditional old carpet that has five different shapes, means five major tribes or houses.

The last is the wreath. It represents the status of permanent neutrality that was accepted by the United Nations of General Assembly on December 12, 1995.

Let’s get started!!

Thinking about Turkmenistan is not far from war, dessert, hot weather; soldiers, gun, conservative and cultural country with lots of laws. There might be some criminal things that have occurred since in the past.

The Republic of Turkmenistan is also known as Turkmenia. This is a country that located in Central Asia. This country is still a part of Soviet Union until 1991. It is bordered with Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Caspian Sea.

Even though Turkmenistan are secured with the human rights and civil liberties in the constitution of Turkmenistan (such as sex equality, social equality, freedom to do cruel things and unusual punishment), the human rights are still become issues in the country. However they still have freedom of religion issues.

Turkmenistan’s desert is the driest one in the world. It is mostly subtropical with a little rainfall

On the other side, this county is the 52-nd largest country in the world. It is smaller than Spain but somewhat, it is larger than the United States or California.

Turkmenistan’s resources are gas, oil, energy and agriculture.

The Stoning of Soraya Movie

Watching the movie “The stoning of Soraya” made me cry a lot. It was totally a depressing, frustrating, and shocking. I couldn’t stand watching that movie. I have never thought that the culture of Iran was too cruel especially for a woman. I only knew if a wife cheats on her husband, the punishment would be cutting the fingers or she got abuse from her husband. Something that made me shock to was, when the journalist got the tape from the witness and started to publish the book, it did not work. There is still the stoning law in that country. There nothing people can change or do about this matter, but I hope someday there will be something development in this country. It does not even make sense to stone women when they cheat on their husband. Even their flesh and blood do stone women too. How can I say about this??

It supposed to be the men. There is still no justice in that country and people who do that, do not have a heart. However, I thankful to be in the country where I am living now and a country where I was born and came from.

Marriage in Israel

This is something I know about the marriage culture in Israel. According to the article that I read, Arab and Jewish marriage culture are often arranged, but unfortunately it is uncommon nowadays. There is a taboo for Jewish people; they are not allowed to do intermarriage. That would be illegal for them to marry with someone who is not a Jewish and this is so powerful social taboo in Israel. It is very unusual for an observant Jew to marry someone secular. About their law, it is legal to divorce, but Orthodox Jewish law unfortunately applies. This made me surprised when I read this because I was thinking that Jewish hold on their religion thing which is illegal to divorce. In this country, men have the power to prevent their ex-wife to re-marry to another man.

If the women still have a relationship, the courts refuse to accept it and their children will be considered illegitimate and they cannot marry at another state.

Israel

A white flag with horizontal blue bands close to the top and bottom, and a blue star of David in the middle A road sign with three lines of black text on white background, each with the name "Be'er Sheva" in a different language (from the top) – Hebrew, Arabic, and English.

Think about Israel, I would probably think of ancient, old history (biblical history), Jewish people, and dessert or may be camels too. How about you?? What do you think of Israel??This is a country that I would like to learn more.

The name of Israel has two different versions; in common and religious. In common, it is called “Land of Israel or Zion.” The Land of Israel itself known as “Eretz Yisrael”

In religious is connected to a man who was renamed Israel; Jacob. He was a man who wrestled with God’s angel and that’s why he was renamed Israel.
