PLACES TO VISIT!! ^^

De Pier van scheveningen in hdr

Scheveningen

Scheveningen is one of
the eight districts of
The
Hague, as well as one of its
subdistricts
(wijken). Scheveningen is a modern seaside resort with a long
sandy beach, an esplanade, a pier, and a
lighthouse.
This place is popular for
water sports like windsurfing
and kiteboarding
. This is a harbor too where
people and some tourists can go fishing
. It’s a very nice place for everyone who loves
going to beach and relaxing.
The best times to go to this place are: March, April, May, September, October
and November. You can actually go to this place even in winter time, but you
just can go kiting.

URBAN RIVER

This place is a road that was painted with blue color. People painted this road with blue color in order to avoid accidents that had happened very often in the past. Previously, the city center had an average of 8 accidents per year. So, since 2003 when it was introduced, it has been reduced to effectively 0. In April 2007, the artist HENK HOFSTRA painted a 1000 meters road in Drachten blie with white lettering and traffic markings. There is the phrase “Water is life” written in 8 meters high letters accros it. This project took 4000 litres of paint and cost 75.000 Euros. Half of the cost was covered by municipal funds.
